Well, speaking of probation, I was just in a courtroom.

In fact, that is the first time I have been inside a courtroom, maybe ever

in my life. Certainly in the United States, and certainly the only time I've been in a

courtroom either in the United States or in my life while it was in session.

The reason that it was in session is that a bunch of new American citizens were being sworn in here in North Florida.

And I was the featured speaker at the event, and my kids were involved too. They led the new

citizenry in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and handed out American flags afterwards.

Have you ever been to a citizenship ceremony? I'm ashamed to say I

haven't. My mom's attended them because she taught at a tech school and so many of her students
