Yeriv Bash had a simple idea, taking Israel to the moon for the first time.

To pursue his new dream, he quit a luxurious job in the Prime minister's office and founded the non-for-profit Space I.L.

Together with his co-founders, they quickly joined Google's SpaceX competition, battling with groups from all around the world to be the first to send a spaceship to the moon.

For many years, Space I.L was leading the competition.

But then something unexpected happened.

Bash, an enthusiast of extreme sports, had a severe ski accident, which left him in a wheelchair.

Yarev Bash joins us today to talk about Israel's race to the moon and his journey to get his old life back.

They are having an amazing initiative. It's called the first international robotics camp for girls.

Okay, this is an opportunity for young girls, 15 to 18, to pursue their dreams, you know, science, technology, engineering, math.

That's the STEM fields.

This is an opportunity for them to actually build robots to meet leading women in these fields okay

they're going to be having entrepreneurs technology gurus women who have actually pursued their dreams

in these fields and they're going to have a chance to speak with them now we all know that it's

tough enough for women in these fields there's not a lot of them and so it's even harder as a

child looking for role models.
