Today's episode takes us way back in time.

In fact, we have to travel so far back in history that we will be in the time period before Christ came to Earth. In fact, we're going to go so far back in time, even Moses was not born at this time.

This is the time that we call ancient history or Bible times. Here at the

beginning of our story, our hero was just a lad. In fact, he was probably not much older than you are

right now. I want you to picture him. A boy probably right in the middle of his teen years. He's kind of

cocky, you know the type. Some people might have called him a show-off or maybe a know-it-all.

Not that this boy was a bad apple. He did have a good heart, but at this point in his life,

he was just, well, a little immature.

This boy came from a big family.

He had 11 brothers and one sister that we know of, and he was one of the younger ones in the family.

Now, not all of the siblings in his family had the same mother, but they did all have the

At the time of our story, the boy's mother had died, and his dad was really sad at the loss

of his wife.

Now you and I both know that parents are not supposed to have favorite children.
