and I am your host, Charlie Barons. This week, I've got my good, good buddy, LaRoy Butler coming

back on the show. It's been a huge week for him because he got the news that he'll be inducted

into the pro football hall fame and Canton this summer. Only a very small percentage of NFL

athletes ever make it to the hall of fame. And so it's a huge honor for him. It's an honor for me

to talk to him after the fact to be quite honest with you. It's just been a crazy journey for

LaRoy. He grew up in the housing projects of Jacksonville, Florida. He was met with a lot of

economic adversity, racial adversity. And not only that, he was also born with a physical

disability that left him in leg braces for much of his childhood. So to go from that to literally

going from leg braces to being the guy who invented the Lambo leap. And now he's going to be in

the hall of fame. It's an insanely inspiring story. Again, I'm lucky he came on to share it. And

also just lucky to have LaRoy as a friend. We've done a few videos over the years. He has been

years. No, I think the first time I spoke with him was actually last March. Somewhere around

there. He was on the show one time before. And since then, we've just we've become friends. We've

collaborated on a fishing video. He and my dad and myself, we went out and did some fishing on

Lake Winnebago. And then we did another leap video all about how we invented the Lambo leap.

A couple of weeks back. And he's just been so nice. When I was promoting my book, he was pushing

it out there. He did an excerpt in the book in the Midwest Survival Guide for one of his recipes.

And what I really like about LaRoy is that like even when he was a player, he would pop into

churches with Reggie White and just sit down and he wouldn't tell anyone. But he would just pop

any would go shopping at the pick and save. He would meet people and he still does it. He still
