Trump heads over there in the midst of the Iran war, and basically very little happens.

The Chinese warn us about Taiwan. You know, they want to avoid the Thucydides trap, so-called, etc.

Trump says everything's great.

The children are beautiful.

The roses are the most amazing roses he's ever seen.

And we're going to be announcing huge deals with the Chinese.

The soybean farmers are going to be really happy.

They're always supposed to be really happy over

whatever assurances China's made to buy more of their products, which always fall through.

But basically the story here is that it's kind of an odd story. I think the worry would have been

that the Chinese would have dangled some enormous commercial deal in front of Trump's eyes.

We're going to buy a trillion dollars of whatever and gotten Trump to move a little

on Taiwan or maybe a lot on Taiwan, but that didn't happen. What do you make of it? Yeah, I basically

agree with your read. There's definitely, you know, two different messages coming out. Trump is

very much emphasizing the trade stuff and,

and, you know, quote, fantastic trade deals.

And, you know, floating, you know, soybean sales, potentially.

And broader market access to U.S. businesses in China.

China, you know, it was like they attended a different meeting.

They're like, well, this was, you know, about coming to new common understandings about Taiwan and the street.
