How did we get the Bible?

In this video we will look at how we got the Old Testament and how we got the New Testament.

A lot of times the enemy will use all kinds of lack of understanding to sow seeds of doubt.

The first temptation humanity had was about the Word of God.

The devil came to even said, has God really said? And the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness,

and the devil also put a question mark to the Word of God. Are you truly the Son of God?

And then he brought the Scriptures out of context in temptation toward Jesus.

We see in Matthew chapter 13 that as the sower is sowing the seed that it falls on the wayside

and the wayside represents people who don't understand the kingdom message and the bird,

the devil he comes and takes and steals that seed.

I do believe that we have to have an understanding, basic understanding of how the Bible came to be for us to be able to trust it.

The Bible is the Word of God. The Bible says that about itself.

2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16, it says that all scripture is God inspired or God breathe, meaning God breathe into the scriptures.

In 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 20 and 21, it talks about the men of God who were carried along by the Holy Spirit as they wrote the scriptures.

Now how did the Old Testament came to be?

We know that around 250 BC before Christ Jewish community has already established the Old Testament canon and canon speaks for a measuring stick or measuring rod.

So Jewish synagogue actually has the same books that we have, the 29 books of the Old Testament.

The only difference is they are arranged and grouped differently.
