Jack Ward, an English Navyman turned Pirate, and Samuel Palash, a Moroccan Pirate-T-Turned diplomat,

were both on their way to the Barbary States in North Africa in 1603.

They had different goals, different lifestyles, different religions,

and different backgrounds.

However, they were both going to Barbary for similar reasons,

and they weren't alone. Almost immediately following
