We moved from Albuquerque to Florida, and I'm about to go back to Zimbabwe because I spent half the year there. I see. Okay. So, you know, most people that I'm aware of kind of sort of learned about you through a TED talk you gave, very powerful, very moving.

And, you know, I saw that and was very impressed with that as where I'm just, you know,

many, many, many people were trying to get us to come on your show.

Now, you originally were from Rhodesia, because back when you were there, it was still called Rhodesia. And it's been, you know, it's been changes in Zimbabwe since that time. I'm actually, my mother's South African, so I've kind of spent time in that part of the world, know kind of some of that stuff, you know, where you're from.

But let me ask you just, you know, because I want to get into some of the details, but let's talk about the problem of desertification of the world. And you claim that that is probably one of the

major pressing issues facing us. Now, can you kind of walk us through why that's occurring, why it's such a problem, and then we can talk about some of the

solutions. Okay. Desertification, that's just the man-made caused by human deserts. And I once

listened to a speaker, she was brilliant. She showed a picture of our planet

from space with a space shot out there. And she just made the statement that if somebody had been

observing our planet from space for the last few thousand years, they would describe humans

as a desert-making species.
