We are talking all about the new women's professional soccer team in Los Angeles,

Angel City Football Club, which just played its home opener at the Bank of California Stadium

in front of a sold out crowd of 22,000. Our guests are two of the team's founders, Julie

Irman and Cara Norton. Most important part is they won that game. I just like to add that.

And Julie or Jules number one, as I call her, is president of Angel City and Cara is a managing

partner at up front ventures, the largest venture capital firm based in Los Angeles.

And we find out how Angel City came to be. The role co-founder, actress Natalie Portman played in

that. She is essentially the catalyst behind it all. And we also discuss what sets Angel City apart.

One note, I am a co-owner of the team as well, along with 13 other US women's national team players

that are part of a larger, awesome, I might add, ownership group. So, get comfortable listening.

It's Jules number one and Cara Norton. As you know, our friends at Ally are deeply committed

to improving the landscape of women's sports. Because Ally knows the positive impact playing

sports has. Women who play sports are more self-confident, perform better in academic settings,

and even go further in their careers. But women sports receive less than 1% of sponsorship

investments and only a fraction of media coverage. Ally decided they would try and flip that script

by committing to an equal media investment and women's and men's sports over the next five years.

As fans, we also have the power to do more than just cheer on our favorite teams.
