I had the chance to do a breakout presentation at North Star, a terrific group this spring,

and I met the new president of North Star, who's our guest on today's podcast, my friend Jen Curtis.

We just had a little brief visit at during our visit at North Star.

And I just recognize this is a brave, courageous woman.

You can answer that at some point, but Jen is president-elect right now, and in July of 2025,

will be the president of North Star, a group that's doing wonderful work.

And a little bit of bio about Jennifer.

She grew up in California.

She's recording this podcast from her home in California. She's in her late 40s. She has two kids. She experiences same-sex attraction. And as I look through her outline, my heart just kind of grew four sizes because I recognize she's going to talk about really brave and vulnerable stuff, including being molested as a child, and then really

working through suicide ideation, attempted suicide perhaps, and just finding a way forward

in the middle of all that.
