So Jim Garrity, we're recording on Monday for various scheduling reasons. We got elections tomorrow

and a new bout of national polling out from the Washington Post and NBC News. Some question about

whether the sampling is correct, whether they're under representing Republicans,

etc. But what they show is Donald Trump generally sagging. His approval rating beginning to get

down and they're pulling to kind of first term levels, but the Democrats are still in the toilet as well. What do you make of it?

Yeah. So for much of this past month, I've been pointing out that the so-called advantage

that Democrats had on the, who do you blame more for the shutdown question, was generally

pretty small, you know, four percentage points in one poll,

six percentage points in another poll. And generally in the past, we've seen, you know,

a split of closer to like two-thirds to one-third, you know, a fairly wide margin. So I was looking

at this saying, like if this is, you know, all designed to help rebound the Democrats image and

make Chuck Schumer look like a tough guy in the eyes of the progressive grassroots,

and it really wasn't doing that. And the Democrats were not getting this big advantage out of this.

Now, these are the first numbers where you look at it and say, okay, that looks like a pretty decent separation there.

I still don't, but again, you look at the general, how do you feel about Democrats?

The numbers are still pretty lousy. How do you feel about the Republicans? It's not great, but it's better.
