Summary

If I could send a message back in a time machine to my younger self starting out in business, I wouldn't waste time talking about what to do differently. Instead, I'd hand over a list of the non-negotiable agreements that transform a soul-sucking grind into an extraordinary life! In this #BizTipFriday edition of the podcast, I get real about the "10 Commandments" for entrepreneurs that ensure you stay 10 out of 10 happy, no matter what phase your business is in.

In this episode, you'll learn why I view having fun as a daily discipline and how I've managed to stay in this game for 19 years without burning out. We're diving deep into the art of detachment, the danger of the "Midas Touch" trap, and how to stop giving your power away to the critics sitting in the stands, plus much more.

It's time to decouple your self-worth from your bank account and start choosing correctly from day one. Let's look at the hard truths your future self wants you to know so you can build a business that serves your life, and not the other way around!

  • How I embody authority energy and demonstrate expertise without falling into the ego traps that I've seen topple so many influencers

In today's BizTip Friday edition, I share with you the 10 agreements that my future self

0:10.5

would force me to sign before I ever started a business.

Stay tuned.

Hi, I'm James Wedmore, and with 17 years online, I've built my business to over $12 million in sales per year.

And this is the first non-business business podcast that shows you how to apply the principles of spirituality, energy, and mindset to grow your

business beyond your wildest dreams. All from the inside out. This is the Mind Your Business podcast.

What's up, friends? James Woodmore here. Thank you so much for tuning in to a BizTip Friday edition of the Mind Your Business podcast. Normally with BizTip Friday, I like to give something more like tactical, specific, actionable that you can begin to apply in your business immediately. Today's a little different and it's primarily because I woke up this morning knowing I wanted to record an episode today but even before I considered what it would be I had an idea.

1:14.9

This should happen to you all the time where you just get like the little sparks of intuition

1:18.4

and nudges of content ideas and topics and things that you're, wow, I could talk about that.

1:24.3

And I was excited about this. It's a real simple topic. It's short. So I was like,

1:28.8

this is perfect for a Friday episode. Let's go ahead and record it. So basically, here's the

1:32.8

concept. Over the years, I've done many episodes based on questions that people have asked me of,

1:37.9

if you were to start over, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently? Right?

1:43.2

It's a great question. Don't get me wrong.

1:45.7

And, you know, experience is such a great teacher through a process of elimination, you learn what

1:50.8

not to do and how you would do things differently. But I've never done this conversation before,

1:55.8

which is knowing what you know now, what would you agree to from day one? And I actually think this is about

2:02.9

a thousand times more valuable and important and relevant than what you would do differently.

2:09.1

So the way I've kind of framed this is imagine my future self, or me today, could go back in a

2:15.6

time machine and talk to young James who is going to register

2:19.6

his first domain which was bartender for profit.com in November of 2007. Wow, that's crazy.
