Summary

On episode 73, Charles confesses that he has replaced every switch in his house, and then talks to Ethan Blevins about the problems that have been caused by the federal government's refusal to finish homesteading. How much land in America is owned by Washington D.C., anyway? Is it constitutional for the federal government to own land? Why are there so many stupid rules on the land that is owned by the federal government? Can it be fixed? Why hasn't it been?

I have for once been around for the whole week without having to go anywhere.

0:33.7

And I've spent that time, that glorious time at home, replacing every single light switch in my house.

0:43.7

That's right. Everyone.

0:46.3

You probably don't think about this very much. Why would you?

0:50.3

I hadn't really thought about it much either, but there are a lot of light switches in a house.

0:58.7

And it turned out that my wife hated all of ours, all of them.

2:07.8

that were already in the wall didn't dim. So we went to Ace Hardware. And when we got there,

2:14.1

my wife said we should buy rocker switches instead, which didn't really make

2:22.8

very much sense because the rest of our light switches were completely different. So I said,

2:28.1

well, that doesn't really make much sense because the rest of our light switches are completely

2:33.0

different. So if we do that,

2:35.2

we'll have to replace all of them. And then she gave me a, okay, then let's do that look,
