There's no question that anxiety, depression, and suicide are globally on the rise and at alarming rates at that.

The World Health Organization reported that between 2005 and 2015 there was an 18% global increase, you guys 18% in depression.

And in their January 2020 report, they say that 264 million people currently suffer from depression.

Tragically, close to 800,000 people every year lose their life to depression-related suicide,

with suicide being the second leading cause of death for 15 to 29 year olds.

In the United States, Utah ranks among the highest for both rates of depression and also rates of suicide.

Although, as the World Health Organization says,

quote, depression results from a complex interaction of social, psychological, and biological factors, end of quote.

There's a risen a colloquial and even a popular media narrative that seeks to focus on one factor,
