Welcome to another episode of Off Air with Carmen.

This week's episode is really special to me.

I get to introduce you to my mom who I affectionately call Mo Hare.

You'll hear how she got that name.

Not unlike a lot of folks, I grew up with a single mom and low income housing.

I remember my mom working two jobs just to keep Mac and Cheese on the table.

We may not have had a lot, but I wouldn't trade the way I was raised for anything.

My mom taught me about perseverance, how to be resourceful, and how to laugh through any circumstance.

She's never taken herself too seriously, and that is a gift she has for sure passed on to me.

My mom is southern through and through and she's also hysterical.

She keeps us laughing all the time and she's known for saying the quiet parts out loud.

In our sit down you'll hear about the time I got in the most trouble in high school,

her MS diagnosis and when I told her I was pregnant. We share some really personal moments.

You'll also hear her sipping her ice coffee

and hitting the mic a few times.

I love my mom so much

and I'm really eager to share her with you. Here's my conversation with

MoHair. Okay. Oh goodness okay this, this is different as far as having my mom on off air with Carmen and I actually

have to give credit to Haley because Haley was looking ahead and she goes,

mom, for your birthday week, you should, you know, we should do something special for your

birthday.

And so I was thinking, gosh, who could I have for my birthday week?
