Today's episode is episode 69.

I owe all our regular listeners and apology because I did say that we were going to be publishing

at least one more episode over this past weekend when you were all finishing up Turkey if you

were in the U.S. or just enjoying a nice weekend if you're outside of the U.S.

And frankly, I am a little behind.

My brother Dennis and his wife Lauren were visiting from South

Florida, and my son was with us as well, and I just decided to take the time with family.

I hope you did, too. Dennis and I told some old stories, ones that we used to tell so often to one

another. They never seem to get old when we are telling them amongst ourselves.

I'm sure that everyone listening to us when we tell those stories just rolls their eyes.

You know how that is. But really, the telling of stories is a rich tradition and it's a tradition

that is still alive all around the world in so many places including so many family gatherings like the one

we had this weekend and when we get into this season of the year the holiday season wherever you are

you may be getting together with family getting together with friends and rehashing moments of the

past and being joyful about them it's such an important part of living. We also played a new

game. It was a domino game called Spinner. It's become the new favorite in the house and it has

replaced another domino game that we play called Mexican Train. Simple games, simple fun. Some happy

moments come out of playing games, but it always seems to be

difficult to find time to do that in our busy lives. But long holiday weekends work well for that.

That mixed with a lot of good college football and a lot of good food made for a great weekend
