mean things to me so I said okay okay, we'll do a podcast.

And that's how I ended up where I am right now

with James Williams and his long lost son, Brian Williams.

That's probably not true, but for this podcast, that's going to be true.

I don't think there's any blood relation that we've been able to tie, but he does occasionally claim me. I think so. I mean everybody

needs a ginger somewhere and since you're trapped in the corner between the two of us.

I'm in a bad I'm in a bad position all right James tell us who you are and you got to do this in less than 5,000 words so I'm a dad and a grandparent,

and the grandparent thing is a good deal.

And the dad thing is pretty good too.

Tell us about your knife, your knife side.

So, I've been interested in knives since I was a little kid

You know I grew up in upper Midwest Minnesota and North Dakota Nebraska Nebraska, Missouri, and knives were always something really interesting to me.

And so, and I, you know, go up reading things like the Iliad and things like that that really got me

interested in knives for things other than hunting.

Although, as you all know later on in life when you read those same books after you've been through some things you're like

They read a little different when you're 14 or 15. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that's good though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so, you know, I've always been interested in them, the

aesthetics of them, the use of them and you know it I kind of got away from it for a while and in

in the 90s my go to in Ensignetus naval special work for guys my dojo and insenitis.

Naval Special Welfare guys coming up in other people. And I started getting more involved in,

in what the guys were doing.
