Welcome everybody to Crystal Kyland friends. I know this is a very weird scenario

where I'm driving in crystals next to me. To give everybody a little bit of back

story, earlier this week we talked to Nina Turner and we had a wonderful

conversation with her and you're about to see that in a second but after we

talked to Nina we got some brand new information which is you know directly

relevant to her race. We'll get to that in a second. We'll talk about that in a

second and so we have to record it now. We're in New York. We're going to do

a breaking point show at a studio in New York so it's you know special event

thingy that we're doing and so Crystal why don't you go ahead and tell them

what the news is on Nina Turner and you know why we're recording this in a car

at a very awkward time. Yeah so there's two things there's actually there's

good news and there's bad news also with the good news which is that Senator

Barnard Sanders has come into endorse Nina in her race for Congress. As you

guys probably know and recall she ran this is her second time running for

Congress. Last time around she narrowly lost in the Democratic primary in a

special election to Shantelle Brown. Corporate backs candidate tons of outside

money flooded in from corporate interest, pharmaceutical interest,

Trump backing, Republicans. I mean every sort of like nefarious group you can

imagine came in to flood the zone for Shantelle Brown who ends up winning by

about six points. So Nina has decided to run again and there are some reasons to

believe this time might be different than the last time in particular the

district lines are drawn a bit differently and include a more progressive
