Today we are talking about frozen kimbab.

Okay, and we've never done a kimbab episode. So now we're doing a frozen kimpop episode.

It's because I started buying it and kind of got hooked.

Today was my first time having it.

Spoiler alert, there's like no memory lane here.

Yeah, me neither.

This is a product that started appearing like not only just on like non-Korean store shelves,

but I think it was not even particularly common on Korean store shelves before like 20, 23.

Hold on. Let's define it. Okay. So Kimbop, so Kim meaning nori or seaweed in Korean and Bob referring to rice.

So this is basically, it looks like what we might think of as maki in sushi territory.

And particularly, it's sort of the Korean interpretation of like futomaki.

Like, it's like a big rice roll with a bunch of stuff inside.

I think we will do like a more general kimbab episode in the future where we make it also.

But I wanted to focus on the Frozen because it was in my freezer.

This became a thing that was really popular, at least sort of skyrocketed to popularity through Trader

Joe's.
