0:09.1	I'm Chris Jensen, a PhD student at Florida State University, and a bookseller at The Bookshelf.
0:14.0	And I'm Annie Jones, owner of the Bookshelf, an independent bookstore in beautiful downtown Thomasville, Georgia.
0:19.9	Today, Chris and I are chatting about our favorite television shows for readers.
0:24.6	And I watch a lot of them.
0:26.4	So, this will be a fun one.
0:28.7	All right, Chris, we like TV.
0:30.7	We do.
0:31.6	Sometimes to the detriment of my reading.
0:33.9	Yes, I get that.
0:35.3	I feel like that's always a sign that I'm not reading a super compelling book, is that I'd rather watch Netflix or something.
0:40.3	That's interesting. Yeah. And for me, it's because when I read, that's all I'm doing.
0:46.3	Whereas when I watch TV, I can do other things.
0:49.3	That's true. So it's like good for your productivity. Like you fold clothes, well, yeah, I fold clothes or clean my house. Do dishes. Yeah. Cook even. Or sometimes I can even write while there's a TV show on in the background. Oh, I can't do that. But sometimes. Only sometimes. And only certain genres of writing. I can write a blog post that way. I cannot write an academic article that way.
1:11.6	Right. I would wind up writing what I'm reading, writing what I'm listening to.
1:15.6	My brain would transcribe the episode I'm watching, I think, if I tried to write while I watched.
1:23.6	But yeah, I feel like I do watch a lot of TV, and I think that's thanks mostly to Netflix.
1:30.3	Absolutely, because of Netflix.
1:32.3	So what are some of your favorite shows?
1:34.3	Right now, I am going through Gilmore Girls.
1:38.3	Yes!
1:39.3	Which is great.
