| 0:36.1 | I had the hard exes and I've got to do this, the culture I got to do this but like what about you being better at teaching specifically we're going to talk about teaching on the defensive end and the better you get it the five things we talk about all the time in PDC coaching you know you have your systems and strategies you have your leadership you have culture you have development. And master teaching is kind of the one that kind of hangs out there a little bit. And, you know, how do I actually become a better teacher of the game? And this is where I think separation happens between good coaches and great coaches. They're really good at teaching. So we could go really broad on this and talk about a whole bunch of different teaching aspects, but we're going to narrow down to becoming a better teacher on the defensive end. |
| 1:16.3 | And so I'm going to open it up just giving a couple of different thoughts is, you know, I've seen |
| 1:22.6 | a lot of teams be successful doing a lot of different things. We all have. On offense, defense, we've seen. |
| 1:29.0 | Now, the best I've ever seen at doing a particular thing will stick to defense, they were |
| 1:35.0 | really good at teaching the little nuances and the things that actually made a difference. |
| 1:42.1 | So installing a system is one thing. Like pretty much everybody can do that. |
| 1:45.6 | And you can do it to different levels. |
| 1:46.8 | Like the more you know the system forward and backwards, the better you are at installation. |
| 1:51.5 | Over time, you learn to collapse timeframes to be able to install it faster. |
| 1:55.8 | You learn how to break down different things that make the defense better. |
