Allow me to pose a situation to you. What would you do if you found yourself abandoned on a deserted island? Practically

speaking, what would be your first steps toward survival? I think most of us have at the least daydreamed idly about

that situation. I know that when I'm out camping, there will inevitably be a moment when

some absolutely minor problem has cropped up and I've found a solution that I'll sit back and think to myself I could do it I could live here, build a hut, catch fish, even a cabin given enough time.

Some of us even have a plan in place for when society inevitably crumbles.

There are doomsday preppers and bug out bags and entire industries built around survivalism.

And it is a good idea to have a plan in place. I mean earthquakes and hurricanes and tornadoes and floods these things happen and it's only smart to be prepared. However, most of us will happily never be hopelessly lost in the wilderness or

abandoned on a deserted island. If you did find yourself in that situation,

what would you do? What steps would you take?
