So everybody calls me Chewy. So I run a YouTube channel called Chewitsu, and it's the thing of the podcast. So we bring people in that are just genuinely interesting to us. And so you were on the

list. And so thanks for jumping on with it, brother. You chose the wrong guy. I don't know what the

hell you guys are thinking. Whatever, dude. We were talking about you. And I was like, man,

like the guys from like your generation of like fighting, you know, in jiu-jitsu in particular, like,

because like obviously when I first started, I was a, I started in 2003. And I remember, um, our instructor had like some clippings of like stuff from Grappler's quests. And, um, we were under Pablo Popovich. I guess the umbrella was, right? And then there were some pictures of you competing in Grappler's Quest. And I remember seeing you then when I first started.

And then a couple of years later, you're in the, you know, the UFC doing the Ultimate Fighter.

And, you know, when I look back at the guys from your generation, I mean, like, you guys were like, you were like, you were like cowboys.

Because it's like, I mean, you're on the Wild West.

You like, you know, nobody was making a living doing this stuff and you guys were out there fighting and like you're doing it mainly because you have this insatiable drive to like be a warrior, you know, and it's like it wasn't like, you know, Connor McGregor out there making money that you could look to and say, yeah, we're going to make millions of dollars. It was like, we're going to fight in a cage. We're going to go wrestle with each other in a gymnasium in a high school and we're going to work really hard at it and like a few people were going to see it

it's like it was very different that's for sure yeah did you think it like end up here like

I mean seriously after all that like do you ever imagine that you would be at the place you're at now

i i think that i had the inkling uh and i had the hope uh but you know honestly it was more

of me doing it because i wanted to test my jihitsujitsu then and later became a thing about oh wait a sec
