| 0:45.0 | Or maybe he was thinking, I'm just a shepherd boy. |
| 0:49.0 | I don't know anything about being a king. |
| 0:52.0 | Well, David had time to think about all of this, because, you see, he did not become king right that moment. |
| 1:00.0 | Even though Samuel had anointed David, Saul was still king. |
| 1:05.0 | David would only become king after the Lord removed Saul from the throne. |
| 1:11.0 | When would that be you ask? |
| 1:14.2 | Well let's continue the story to find out. |
| 1:18.4 | Now remember Saul had disobeyed the Lord more than one time. |
| 1:23.7 | Saul's heart had become hardened to the voice of God. |
| 1:27.6 | He no longer listened to Samuel or to the Lord, |
| 1:30.8 | but did only as he wanted. Saul had turned his back on the Lord, but did only as he wanted. |
| 1:33.0 | Saul had turned his back on the Lord, and the Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord |
| 1:38.2 | had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit tormented him. |
| 1:43.0 | This means that Saul was not a happy person. |
| 1:46.5 | In fact, he was miserable. |
| 1:49.0 | You see, God is the source of our joy. |
