Today's passage from the Bible comes from John 15 versus 1 through 8. John was a disciple of Jesus and was very close to

Jesus. John wrote down what Jesus did and said while he was here on earth. In this passage John is writing the words of Jesus

and Jesus is talking to his disciples about what it means to follow him. Those who follow Jesus and believe in him will stay close to him.

Jesus said that he is like a vine and we are like the branch connected

to the vine that produces the grapes. Without staying close to Jesus we cannot
