Barons. And my guest today is fellow badger, Danielle Robay. Now, Danielle and I have known

each other for years. We sort of came up together in the hosting and news industry. She's currently

a correspondent for NBC4LA, host for IMDB. And she has her own podcast called Pretty Smart,

which I highly recommend you check out. And Danielle gave us a lot of great insight in this

podcast. We touched on everything from her experience, being a woman in the news industry to,

you know, the importance of Midwest work ethic and everything in between. Jeez, Louise. So we

will get to that in a second. But first, I just want to thank all of you who listened to last week's

Christchest, where I previewed a couple of passages from the Midwest Survival Guide. It's my upcoming

book. And a bunch of you pre-ordered it. All my gosh, no, I promised all use rhubarb from my freezer.

If you did that, so come on over. It's just under the venison, as I said. And I do have to admit,

I was a little self-conscious about reading those passages because they're a bit more personal,

I guess, you know, stories from growing up. And I have no idea if people really want to listen to that

or much less read it. But the fact that we saw a little bump in pre-orders made me feel all

real good, honest to Pete. I'll tell you what. So thanks to all of you for doing that. What else have

we been working on? Oh, got a fun video coming out next week. It's the four types of people at

every state fair. So we were at the state fair on Tuesday. We're going back today. And we have like,

you know, we have some pretty solid characters in there. One of which is what I'm really excited

about is the politician. You know, every state fair, you see like politicians like go there with

their, you know, white shirt with their sleeves rolled up like that they work and stuff. And so

is that cynical Charlie? That's a little cynical. Politicians do work. Well, some of them work.

Anyway, different story altogether. But we dressed up as a bunch of characters. So look forward to
