producer and we're here to talk about his terrific episode number 6, Hour of the Wolf.

And I'm happy to be here to talk about it.

I loved writing this episode and I think it came together just beautifully.

What we're seeing here is a interesting cold open of of something we've been hopefully you've all been waiting to

to see for quite some time which is Young Ian's time that he spent with the Mohawk.

Oh, absolutely. Actually, this scene of Ian being sort of inducted into the Mohawk and being, you know, going through the rituals to be adopted by them.

Actually, I was just remembering as we're watching it that it was originally meant to be in, I believe it was 4.13 when when they went to rescue Roger and

Ian offered himself up in Jamie's place and in the book it follows right on the heels of that that Ian offers himself and we see him

being going through this ritual and then we decided it didn't quite belong there it was much more

heartbreaking to just end on his goodbye with Jamie and Claire and we decided to save this for whenever we did tell

Ian's story which we knew would be down the line somewhere. Yeah we didn't

know exactly when we would know get around to this story, but we knew we would.

Yeah, we've been wanting to tell it.

We've been dying to tell it.

It's a favorite of everyone's.

We knew that it was such a poignant story and such a heartbreaking story

that we were like, at some point we've got to tell each story.

And I know that the audience has been waiting for it.

And we finally, in this season, you know,

found the right spot for it. But it was kind of nice, I think, to go a whole season not knowing and just feeling that it was something so big that happened to him that he actually couldn't deal with it that he needed to, you know, as we talked about last week, everyone in these last couple seasons, especially have gone through these traumas that they're processing.
