Hey everyone. Welcome to the official Outlander Podcast. I'm Matt Roberts,

executive producer and writer on the show and really excited to have you back.

It's been a long, long drought lander and we're just really excited that we can finally do one of these.

Actually, this is the second podcast I did on episode

601, Echoes, the premiere episode. I did one but through I'm sure operator error

there was a technical glitch and only part of it got recorded. So here we are. This is take two. First off, I think what you will notice is that the

recap, what we call recap gives you a little taste of what has come before is extra long

on this episode because we've been away so long.

And I know most of you who subscribe to the podcast and listen are you know probably

memorize most of these scenes anyway so you don't need a recap you could probably

perform these recaps but we wanted to give people who are just coming to the show

haven't read the books and you know maybe you are just joining Outlander in season six which you know

shocking that you just find Outlander in season six but here we are.

Kind of recapping the we are.

kind of recapping the journey that Jamie and Claire and Roger and Bree have taken up to this point, kind of teeing up what's to come. And we all know what happened, well we don't all know,

but a lot of us know what happened in these scenes here at the end and at the finale of season five which

in a weirdly it's almost more than two years ago when we filmed this so it just feels like forever ago that we that we were we were actually making

Outlander. We started on the scripts a long time ago and then the pandemic hit. So we kind of waited to see what would happen.

We knew that we didn't want to change the scripts

to fit some COVID protocol that would keep everybody apart and I was in a lot of meetings with other showrunners

and people who ran different shows, different types of shows, different genres.

And the action shows could get started a little sooner
