Well, hello and welcome to the tennis podcast on the eve of the big one, the semi-finals,

the men's semi-final in particular, between Raphael Nadal and Roger Federer.

I'm David Law and Catherine Whitaker is here and we are ready to chat to Catherine.

How excited are you? Oh, I'm very excited. We've stopped taking Federer,

Nadal, Grand Slam match-up, so if we're granted now, if we ever did, and we now utterly treasure

them, don't we? Because we know their time, unfortunately, is limited. It has to be limited,

given that Federer is 32. Nadal's still only at the ripe old age of 27, but anyway,

yes, it will be something to savor absolutely. Also, I don't know about you, but I think that there

is the feeling that this one might be different in that, you know, the record is not pleasant.

In that Federer might win me. Roger Federer fans. Yeah, yeah, well, 22-10 is the head-to-head

between Nadal and Federer, and he's just figured out over the years a formula to basically give

Roger Federer nightmares. Here's my theory. I think the way Federer is playing, the way that he

beat Murray in the last round and Songra in the round before, and I know they're very different

style players. I don't think that Roger Federer is going to allow Raphael Nadal into that

pattern of play that he has been able to dominate with him against. I, that cross-court forehand

high up to Federer's backhand, I just don't think Federer is going to allow that. Now, that does

mean that he's going to have to take a huge number of risks, but I think we could be of

for a classic. I haven't decided yet where the Federer is going to win, obviously, by the end

of the world. Are you fans sitting, David Law? Is that what's happening here for a change?

No, just buying time until the end of the podcast, because I'm going to just allow my thoughts

to pass. And then at the end of the podcast, you're going to say Federer will take off breath away
