Hey, everybody, welcome to all have another podcast with Lindsay Hein. I I'm your host Lindsay. Thank you so much for being here today. Today my guest is Kellyn Taylor. So happy to have Kellyn back on the podcast. She is a returning guest. She's been on this show multiple times over the eight years that I've been hosting the podcast.

I think most recently we had her on right before the Olympic trials and the marathon this past

February.

But Kellyn is, well, she's gearing up to run the U.S. half marathon championships this weekend.

She recently ran the Mesa Half Marathon. She had a great race. Ran 6915 place second over there.

She is training for Boston. She'll be running Boston. She'll also be running the New York City

half this spring. So lots of fun races to look forward to. Kellyn ran for Hoka N AZ Elite for a decade.

And we watched and followed her in that career for a lot of years.

I kind of feel like I grew up alongside her in this industry,

watching her and that team grow and accomplish some really amazing things over the years.

And this past year, Hoka dropped her along with Steph Bruce and

Lauren Piquette, some of the OGs on the team. And so we talked to Kellan as she's

processed that over the past several months. We talked to her about what that's looking like now,

how she's feeling,

what shoes she's trying out. And we talk about ageism a little bit as well. Nobody gets to

decide when your career ends. You get to decide. And so we get Kellan's perspective on that.

Man, last year, she had a hard year. What did she call it a hard year? But a decent year?

I can't remember. She says it in the podcast episode. But, you know, she was overcoming some

injuries and ended up placing 15th at the U.S. Olympic trials in the marathon. And then

girlfriend went on and placed six at the 10,000 at the U.S.
