I just really hope that some of them are listening to this.

And they just interrogate that like a, I'm really not trying to like victory lap this one.

I just would really like folks to ask themselves the question.

Why is it that I spent so many minutes and hours, podcasting, streaming, et cetera,

over the last year talking about Grand Platner.

Why did I immediately and enthusiastically glom onto this campaign and boost it?

But I had been completely silent about the first elected socialist city council person in like 100 years in American history.

I want to talk to you at this moment because it does feel like this is a real

sort of vulnerable and crucial moment

for the left, the left media infrastructure,

the various factions, the left

that have sort of emerged out of the last 10 years or so

of the Bernie movement.

This fracture was spotlit in a recent episode I did with Dan Denver of the Dig podcast,

a Jacobin podcast that I listened to and have learned a lot from.

But regrettably, as I started to push him on some issues that have been recurrent themes

here on Bad Faith
