Summary

Transmasculine filmmaker/director Jett Garrison (These Thems) only transitioned three-and-a-half years ago, which now has him "just on the other side of puberty" in his mid-40s. He tells incredible stories from his life, which include serving in the Air Force prior to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," and being a morning DJ in the late '90s on the only all-female radio show in the country! Also, the challenges that transitioning can present in a marriage, and what it's like to date in what is essentially a new body.

0:53.7	No, no, no. That's a fake until you make it kind of thing. Well, I thought about that. And I was like, gosh, there's so many coming out stories. I mean, even to come out as an artist and to say you're an artist. Yes, we have said that before. Sometimes they're harder coming out, depending on what kind of parents you have. Yes, yes. So nice segue there into the origins.
1:16.3	I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, hometown of Selena. Oh, right on. And I've also decided I can't date
1:23.6	anybody who doesn't know who Selena is. Oh, yeah. It's just, you know, it feels appropriate. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. And then I grew up in a small town outside of Houston, Katie, Texas, went to high school with Renee Zellweger. Oh, yeah. Now I am dating myself and my age is coming through the airwaves. Just real quick. Is she cool? She nice? Back then she was cool and nice.
