Everybody's put the last season to bed a little bit. Taking a little break from thinking about that. Maybe the internationals have just wrapped up, and the papers are looking for something.

The websites need clicks, and the best way to get them is by stressing you out about transfers.

That transfer you thought you were going to sign, wait until you hear about the swoop being swoped.

There is a swoop sweeping all of the sweeps, all of the war chests. It's all happening right now. And so we will find out how that is affecting our panel. And on our panel today is Clive. I hope your summer is going okay. I mean, this is ironically. Sometimes I think this is the most anxious time for some football fans. There are definitely people for whom this time of the year is the time when they get most worked up. I feel like June is the perfect time to take a breath and breathe it out a little bit because before you know, preseason will be back. and once preseason is back, we have to complain about not having the signings in the fold yet. We were supposed to be ready for the start of the season. We're not going to be ready. So like the cycle begins anew. This is the time to take a breath. But can you? Well, let's first remember that pointless football was played. And Tim, I have to say, I tried to watch some of these

internationals and maybe more than ever because there is a Winter World Cup that's going to disrupt

my joy, which is club football, and because just of some of the unsavory stuff around that,

and because of the grueling season, it felt like we just went through. Something about fans

being back actually made the season feel more intense, I think. I don't know. But I really found myself thinking, why are we doing this? Why are we doing this? And watching, you know, poor Bukaiosaka having to play more football. And some of these players who have just run their, their legs off for a season going out there so that they

can make money for the nation's leagues, they can make money for FIFA. It really felt to me in this

round of internationals like a pointless exercise in burning out your key asset, which is the player.

So I'm curious if you got anything of joy or fulfillment from this round of internationals. I don't want to be the Grinch who stole football. I just could not connect to it and could not understand why we were playing them. Yeah, 100%. All I've watched was I watched Wales, Ukraine, just because that actually felt meaningful. That's like literally a playoff to see who gets to the World Cup. So that was meaningful football. I watched that game. And I felt weird, because I kind of wanted Wales to win, but then there's this, like, I don't really have an emotional connection to Ukraine, but obviously with things going on there at the moment. And, you know, so it was kind of, who do I want to win this?

I don't know.

But other than that, nothing really.

I think I've watched the last 10 minutes of England, Germany.

Like, I'm with you on this.

Like, I understand why all this is happening.
