The reason for the imperfection was poor local transportation routes,

along with a lack of American experience. Fuel for aircraft was lacking, holding back air coverage,

enough transports had been sunk to slow down amphibious landings, and overall, a combination

of ineffective communications coupled with poor command

of control, would see a hodgepodge American advance. The learning curve was still going strong.

When Hitler had decided to occupy metropolitan France, it was coupled with deciding to form two bridgeheads, one around Tunis,
