I congratulate you again on your, I guess, would they call it the fastest time ever recorded?

0:54.5

I mean, world record, whatever we want to call it, the fastest trail one that's ever been done by a human being that's been known. I mean, maybe there was some guy in prehistoric times that ran faster. We don't know that. But anyway, since modern record keeping has been done, no one has ever run 100 miles on a trail fashion. and you just. And you did that at the Tunnel Hill 100 mile race, uh, just what last month, if I'm not mistaken. Uh, and your time was

1:01.4

1208 36, I believe, correctly if I'm a long. And that exceeded the world record, which was probably

1:07.3

I think around 1244. And I don't remember the seconds on that, but you clearly

it how you how you manage race day how you're managing recovery and and that sort of stuff so let's

1:39.8

let me just go into first of all um you know did this surprise you that you were able to do this?

1:46.9

Was this a surprise?

1:48.0

Or did you know that you were probably going to do something like this, you know, going into the race?

1:54.0

Yeah.

1:54.5

You know, I think, you know, one of the questions I get is like people kind of assume I was going there actively chasing the 100 mile trail

2:02.7

record. And that really wasn't my main priority. I knew that that record was there and I knew it was

2:09.0

achievable on that course based on some times that that course has produced in the past and based
