Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. This week,

we're broadcasting live from the Jade of the Orient restaurant discussing the 2019 supernatural

horror film, It Chapter 2. This film was directed by Andy Mushietti off of a script written by Gary

Doberman. It Chapter 2 serves as the follow-up to 2017's Itchapter 1, providing a conclusion

to Muscietti's adaptation of Stephen King's best-selling novel. Much like its predecessor,

this film tackles themes of trauma, friendship, and fear as the now-adult Losers Club returns

to Dairy to once again face off against It. This film was recommended to us by friend of the show, Deanna Chapman.

So, It Chapter 2, what were your first impressions on the film?

I'll field this one.

I distinctly remember because it was John Paul's birthday in 2019.

And I had to go to work and we were slow and there was a bunch of people and I was like, hey, let me get out of here so that me and John Paul can go do something for his birthday.

And so I left. I came home and we immediately went to the movies to go see this. And it was so fucking long that leaving, I had to race to go pick the kids up from school. Like it took the entire day. Oh, yeah. It took fucking forever. But we had a lot of fun seeing it. And then we talked about it, you know, in the car after we left.

And I wasn't in love with it.
