the Minnesota shooting of Renee Good. And subsequently, she appeared on The Daily Show with

Okay. So you are a First Amendment Maven. Give us a little background on how you ended up entangled in the back and forth with J.D. Vance. Sure. So actually, before I was a First Amendment lawyer, I was a public defender in New York, which was why I decided I had the background to weigh in on the issue of the officer's

right to defend himself or lack thereof, as I would put it. So I actually was a public defender

for a long time, and then I would have considered myself on the left, I guess, although I have

kind of weird politics. I can discuss more or not later. And I was against COVID restrictions,

which was very unusual for people on the left side of the political spectrum. And I was against COVID restrictions, which was very unusual for people on the left side of

the political spectrum. So I ended up taking a job at sort of a right-leaning libertarian litigation

boutique firm that was challenging COVID restrictions. And then in that area, I got involved

in cases about government pressuring social media companies

to censor speech about COVID, sort of disfavored narratives and viewpoints. And then I got sort of
