I speak with Dr. Puja Lachman about her new book, Real Self-Care,

as well as about her focus on women's mental health.

Welcome, Dr. Lakshman.

I'm so excited to be here.

I am excited to have you here and to once again with a guest pull apart self-care because I feel like I really do think it's the Charlie Brown football in so many ways but before we

talk about that I want to give everybody a little more background on you so

Dr. Lakshman is the author of Real Self Care.

She's a board certified psychiatrist,

a clinical assistant professor

at George Washington University School of Medicine

and a contributor to the New York Times.

She has spent thousands of hours taking care of women struggling with burnout,

despair, depression, and anxiety in her clinical practice. And something we like to ask all. and whatever you want to tell me. Yeah I love the way that you asked that question too. So in my house there are four other beings, one being my partner Justin, the toddler's son, Kay, who is, gosh,

I think he's 22 months now.
