Summary
Emily Sisson joins me on the podcast today to share all about her recent race at the Olympic Marathon Trials where she placed second and is heading to her second Olympics. So exciting!!
Emily holds the American record in the marathon which is 2:18:29. She went into the Olympic Trials as the favorite to win this race and make the team. I loved hearing her thoughts on how she handles that pressure. She ended up placing second with a time of 2:22:42 and is heading to the Olympics with Fiona Okeef and Dakotah Lindwurm.
She won the 10k Olympic Trials in 2021 and went to the Tokyo Olympics!
I love talking with Emily and she is one of the best of American distance running!
What we talked about:
3:50- How she is doing after the trials
