This holiday season over here at the Pirate History podcast, we were searching for the perfect Pirate

themed holiday episode to send out to you guys.

However, it turns out that there aren't very many stories involving pirates and Christmas to tell.

To rectify this situation, I attempted to compose a poem set to

t'was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was

stirring not even a mouse involving a character named either Captain Nicholas or Captain

Claws, in which he invaded a young family's home, stole all their milk and cookies,

along with several of their presents, but left them with a special surprise.

However, I am not a skilled poet.

This Christmas-themed poem will not see the light of day. Instead, I'm going to go ahead and continue on with our story of Caribbean piracy in the early 1680s. But I'd like to take this opportunity to wish every last one of you a happy

holiday season however you choose to celebrate, be it Yule, Solstice, Saturnalia,
