I was at a truck stop in Horse Cape Kentucky and I saw this big hairy trucker come walking towards me.

Really tough-looking, rugged guy.

Look like he was in a bad mood, so I tried to step out of his way and give him some room.

But we made eye contact.

And that's about the point when the social contract kicked in, and I felt the need to address him in some way.

I said, hey, buddy, how you doing?

He said, I'm fat, and I'm ugly, but at least I'm not on Facebook.

You find wisdom in the damnedest places.

I'm sitting here in my living room in East Nashville, Tennessee, and I've been on the road

for 15 of the last 18 weeks touring in Europe. And man, it feels really, really good to be back home.

This is a personal journal. It's an audio experiment.

I should say up front that I haven't the slightest idea what I'm doing,
