You don't have to like the Otagard signing or the Ramsdale signing. You can love both. You can feel mediocre about either one. but I hope you love us because we definitely love you. And I have to breathe a heavy sigh given the fact that this would have been a weekend spent with actual real people in person in Las Vegas celebrating the start of the new season. But under the circumstances, maybe it's best that we're all apart from each other doing it hermetically sealed over a digital universe where we exist these days. Tim's on Twitter, sober-ah-ho. So the window has slammed open, my friends, and through that open window has flown one Martin Otagard and one Aaron Ramsdale, or at least they

certainly seem to have. And I have to tell you, if we screw this up now, having decided to just

record this as though it's happening, I'm going to be really, really furious. But let's take

them in order. And we'll start with Martin Otagard. It is a period, Tim, of fairly strong

frustration with the club in some segments of the fan base.

And I think it's fair to say that there's some concern, some despondency, some questions

about what Adu does, whether Artet is the right guy. And given all that, I think it is equally

important to be intellectually consistent and give the club some freaking credit when they deserve it. Because I felt at the start of this window that it was a

little naive to spend the whole summer chasing Martin Odegaard as their number one option,

watching Buendia go, watching O'R sit there at 20 million euro, chasing James Madison for

60 million pounds. And is the right price, the wrong price.

The fact is, and we'll get into whether Odegaard is a right guy.
