Ian completed two of the tougher 100 mile races in the US this past year, despite never running a race longer than 65 miles prior. Today we chat about persevering, staying the course, and putting one foot in front of the other when you absolutely do not want to.

I think last time we spoke, I was still kind of a part-time firefighter here in Leadville,

and I might have been teaching by then as well, but so currently I am a full-time

I also teach and instruct for, I'll go down the list here, EMR, EMT, Fire Academy, and then Fire 2,

So I actually start teaching from the 17th of this month all the way to the end of the summer
