Summary

My friend Jackson Jensen (age 22, RM from Lubbock Texas) shares his story. Jackson starts bravely sharing his story being a survivor of sexual abuse at age 8. Jackson, with a prompting from the Spirit, at age 16 told his family about his sexual abuse and how freeing and helpful it was to finally open up about this traumatic experience. Concurrent with telling his family about this sexual abuse, Jackson is privately working to understand his sexual orientation. The journey continued during his mission in Texas. Jackson shares his conclusion that being gay is not because he was sexually abused. There are two different parts of Jackson’s story. 0:25.6	So my name is Jackson Jensen.
0:27.6	I currently live in Meridian, Idaho, just outside of Boise.
0:32.6	I am currently a full-time licensed barber.
0:38.4	I'm behind the chair at a shop called the Beardsmith in Garden City, Idaho.
0:44.2	I just graduated barber school last July.
0:51.1	I have loved every minute being behind the chair with my client, getting a rapport with people.
0:58.9	So that's a little bit what about I'm doing right now.
1:01.7	I'm also a dance teacher, so I do that a lot.
