is being put together the night before I returned to the Camino after a rather

delicious little diversion, some of which was pre-planned, and some of which just happened.

As you know, I left Leon last week to spend my niece's birthday with her and plenty of my family

here in southern Spain. I've had an absolute blast, just spending time with family, something

I'm unable to do much in America other than, of course, with Dana. I took full opportunity

to just be with family and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Of course, there was also the matter of my mighty blues playing in their playoff final today, as I record, but we'll talk about that later.

For the show this week, still sticking with the way in which my podcast artwork was prepared,

there was just day number 21 to talk about,

which was actually my last day on trial before heading south.

I hope that will make sense to you.

But after that, we'll get a quick catch-up with Beth before I share my mighty blue day with you all.

Day 21, Raleegos, mile 272.2.

To Leon, mile 287.6, a 15.4 mile day.

I had a pretty disastrous start to the day.

My phone alarm went off at around 6.15 a.m.

And I started to arrange my pack because, of course, I didn't need anything like the stuff. I've been carrying normally and I could leave most of it back in the hotel room because I'd be returning there later on.

Funny enough, it took a little while to get used to that lighter pack.

My walking had adapted to hiking with a moderately weighted pack and it makes a difference when that weight isn't there. I get tightening and loosening straps to adapt.

Once I was about a mile into it, it was fine, but it was quite a surprise that took quite that

long. That, of course, wasn't a disaster start I was referring to, by the way.
