of the end times? In Matthew 24 verse 3, disciples ask Jesus, tell us, when will these things be?

And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?

When Jesus talked about destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, they wanted to know when will

the destruction of Jerusalem happen? When will be the sign of his coming and the signs of the end times?

These are the three main questions that are discussed in Matthew chapter 24.

Now it's important as we're going to dive into this video, it's important to understand

that these topics are intervowing and sometimes they're difficult to determine which event

is being described.

The difficulty is specially resolved when we understand that a lot of times the prophecy is able

of being both near and remote fulfillment.

Jesus uses the tragic events surrounding the destruction of the Jerusalem in 70 AD as a picture of the conditions

that will begin to accelerate preceding his return. So these are the few things I want us

to keep in mind. The end times started with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In fact,

we see in Acts chapter 2 verse 16 and 17

and this was spoken by the prophet Joel it shall come to pass in the last days says God.

I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. I want you to notice the emphasis in the last days.

So Peter is making a reference to the prophecy by Joel that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit

will happen in the last days and this happened over 2,000 years ago.
