You're listening to the Camino di Santiago edition of Mighty Blue on the Appalachian Trail.

I'm away in Spain right now, walking across the northern plains of Spain.

I've just about finished the Messetta. It's been my favourite part of the trail so far. Many people seem to hate it. I love it.

I can't recommend it more highly. I mean, Leon now, recording this podcast and about to take a little

side trip, part of which I had already planned and find of which has been recently planned

due to events that happened while I was out here.

You'll find out soon enough what it is.

Also today we catch up again with Beth and Andrew.

And funnily enough, something called Rufus.

I'll let you find out about that

after hearing the first couple of days of my commino adventure.

So now we're going to start with days 16 and 17 from the Camino.

Day number 16, Castro Harith 200.7 miles to Boa della del Camino, 213.4 miles, just a 12.7 mile day.

What a sensational little town Castro Harith really is.

I don't recall from before that the route took us through the higher part of the town back in 2018

because, you know, I'm sure I would have remembered this little gem.

It may also have something to do with the time of day, but it was a glorious walk through it.

I'd had my breakfast and set off around 7.30 a.m. People were starting to wake up,

sweeping their front step with beautifully restored houses on a long path that had a few public squares.

The old cafe was open and the whole ambience was of town on the rise.
