1:02.4 | So we started talking the last year, and we called the project Mike Cortreuse. |
1:05.9 | And just to, you know, kind of give you a little backstory. |
1:10.7 | I didn't have the words for it when I was a missionary, but I remember in conversations with people, they saw the world a certain way. |
1:18.9 | And I now call that a paradigm or a worldview. |
1:22.6 | And I saw it a different way. |
1:25.3 | And if we were able to just get on the same paradigm or worldview, |
1:29.3 | then everything would make sense. And one of the things I've observed over the years as |
1:37.6 | I've interacted with individuals who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ, |
1:43.7 | the Latter-day Saints, and then leave, is sometimes when that paradigm, when they leave the church, the paradigm that they have dramatically changes. |
1:56.0 | And it's not just they kind of switch flavors of Christianity. |
2:07.7 | Their whole paradigm is blown to pieces, whether there's a God or not, whether there's order in the universe, particularly see that among millennials who are leaving the church. |
2:14.2 | And so that, you combine that with, you know, some kind of formative pieces over my life. |
