I'm so interested to talk to you because we have many overlapping concerns and preoccupations,

including having this critique of identity politics in the way it has been weaponized by the

broad left, by liberals in particular, and has become a sort of a substitute for substantive material politics

in a way that I would argue has a direct

through line to the political moment that we're in today. The lack of substantive fight the

Democratic Party has been willing to demonstrate over the past decades. I would argue open to the

space up for Republicans to occupy this pro-free speech, pro-worker anti-NafTA,

exactly, the kind of trade deals that are very much in focus as Trump litigates his tariff wars.
