Hello dear Amelia listeners. Today's episode is dedicated to my father who is celebrating his 70th birthday this weekend.

As a Belgian-born fan of the Tintin comics, we figure his death should be taken straight out of the pages of a Tintin adventure.

So we will recreate the scene from the temple of the sun in which Captain Haddock runs down a snowy mountain, stumbles rolls down the mountain at great speed, amassing snow around him.

So he's encased in a snowball. The snowball rolls faster and faster to get bigger and bigger until eventually it plummets over the edge of the mountain.

In terms of a reappearance we'll bring him back as the host of a bed and breakfast in Sardinia from where he will also act as a consultant for vintage cars in period dramas.
